A single phase transformer is an electrical device used for voltage level conversion and is suitable for single-phase AC systems. It consists of an iron core, a primary coil, and a secondary coil, and transfers electrical energy between the primary coil and the secondary coil through electromagnetic induction. When the AC current passes through the primary coil, a magnetic field is generated in the iron core, which induces a voltage in the secondary coil, thereby achieving voltage conversion.
Single-phase transformers are commonly used in small loads or home appliance supplies such as power transmission and distribution, electronic equipment and industrial equipment, especially in situations where 110V needs to be converted to 220V, or vice versa.
